You happy to just assume he was a paedophile and murderer then, Monk?

Getting proof is hindered when the evidence keeps going missing and investigations don't start until the main protagonists have died.

Indeed.

In other news, Leicester police are only investigating burglaries committed at premises with even-numbered addresses. But the search for famous dead paedos goes on apace, unencumbered by the usual demands of a reasonable standard of proof.

Dan Hodges, a Labour stalwart, has a good take on this, as he did on McAlpine and Brittan.

I'm not sure about the reptilian issue, but he did point the finger at Heath with regard to child abuse and murder.

It never did. The man was obviously odd and for that the rumours will roll. It suits our view of politicians that they were kiddie fiddlers. It makes us feel better.

That shouldn't trouble us, Surf.

This is the 21st century. We do things differently now.

Didn't David Icke say he was one of the New World Order lizards...who he claimed also indulged in these practices?

Nonsense. The media are far more tame now.

Investigative journalism died a sad death some time back.

Re: Ted Heath allegations
Times were different "back then". It was much easier for the establishment to leash the media (i.e "break THIS story and you will find your invitations to press briefings suddenly dry up").

There wasn't the rolling 24 hour news looking to fill dead airtime as we have today (ask those around about the start of Channel 4, commercial radio, BBC2, Radios 1,2,3,4 - - significant then, these days all someone has to do is find a stream).

Heath will not have been the only one "at it", and, no doubt, many "favours" were exchanged if & when something threatened to break.

Cyril Smith once did a fundraising boat trip for the Liberal party. They put an advert in the paper that said: Book now! Space is limited.

Oh well, made me chuckle.

They showed a monosyllabic interview on Ch4 news last night where he was being quizzed about some woman who disappointed him in LOVE and married someone else.
I guess then he met Margaret Thatcher and that experience turned him to men and bumming.
